DAY BY DAY ITINERARYDAY 1: DEPARTING USA
Buckle up, you're about to have some of the greatest moments of your life. DAY 2: CHECK-IN
After landing in Munich, you'll transfer and check in to the 4 Star Eden Wolff Hotel, just a stones throw from the Oktoberfest Fairgrounds and surrounded by all kinds of fascinating places. Historic, yet playful and modern Needless to say, there isn't a better place to stay in Munich. This hotel sports 4 stars and rightly so. Check it out on TripAdvisor, we're counting on it. You can easily trollop to and fro, with the train station a block away and the hotel smack dab in the historic district of Munich. You'll be delighted with the position and quality of the hotel being close to restaurants and local friendly bars. We've arranged an outstanding guided bicycle tour of the immediate area which will acclimate you to your new surroundings. With the first evening at your leisure, meet up with myxoadventures.com staff, travel buddies or new friends to make the most of your first night. A guide will be provided to you upon check in. DAY 3: MUNICH TO EXPLORE
This is your first full day in Munich and the opening ceremonies of Oktoberfest with a festive Parade and the Mayor of Munich Ceremoniously taken to his high place to slam the gavel officially opening the ceremonies. Join myXOadventure.com owner Daniel for a Bavarian Pretzel baking class or choose from several exceptional tours that will be offered for purchase after booking. This gives you the flexibility to choose what you would like to do. (CLICK HERE) for some ideas of things to do in Munich. Tonight our group will meet up in the lobby of the hotel. Who knows what will happen this evening, we just know it's going to be an adventure. All kinds of options are available tonight, and we'll make sure you know which one suites your style. DAY 4: OKTOBERFEST
Today is the most popular day of Oktoberfest, known to be the most fun of the entire month long celebration. myXOadventures.com includes your lunch and 2 steins of beer to get the party started. Sport your Dirndl or Lederhosen this day as we will be judging you and there are 2 prizes given away for the best dressed of the day. Dancing on the tables is not unusual and the mood is jolly. XO TIP: Entrance to the grounds and tents are free, but there will be long lines and thousands of people inside the tent competing for a seat at a table. If you prefer a seat, you may purchase a seat with us directly. If we are unable to confirm the seats, your money will be refunded immediately. DAY 5: FROM THE CITY TO THE COUNTRYSIDE
As we all come back to life from last nights festivities we check out, board the bus and meet our guide to follow in the footsteps of Hansel and Gretel. Into the Austrian Alps we go to the charming village of Seefeld. This village is full of friendly faces, appears to be made of gingerbread, gumdrops and geraniums. We'll be staying at the beautiful 4-Star HOTEL CENTRAL, located right in the heart of town. Bask in the alpine majesty all around you, from picturesque villages and shops, to sweeping meadows and towering mountains beyond. Twirl if you wish, or join myXOadventures.com as we head to the Mieders Alpine Coaster to be taken up the mountain by lift, and down by thrill. CLICK HERE to watch a video of the Alpine Coaster. Dinner tonight, as every night is included in your package and served at the hotel. DAY 6: NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE
Hop on the bus to the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Mad King Ludwig II as a fantasy homage to composer Richard Wagner. The design of this inspiring Romanesque Revival castle was an inspiration to Walt Disney for his concept of his own Cinderella’s Castle. Join all your new friends as we take a guided tour of the castle. Afterwards we'll explore the famous waterfall, Pöllatfall and have a little nosh before moving on. Next we'll visit Linderhof Palace, another home to King Ludwig II and although much smaller in scale than Neuschwanstein, its beautiful gardens and fountains give it a beauty all its own. A tasty dinner will be waiting for us back at the hotel, and before you know it you'll be sleeping comfortably and dreaming of your own castle! DAY 7: INNBRUCK & SWARAVSKI CRYSTAL MUSEUM
Today we set off to to the beautiful city of Innsbruck. A walking tour will be conducted featuring its famous “Golden Roof”, quaint shops and restaurants, and cobblestone squares. Later we’ll visit the Swarovski Crystal Museum – a collection of resplendent outdoor gardens and indoor galleries showcasing the best of Austrian crystals set amongst legendary artists including Yayoi Kusama, Niki de Saint Phalle, Salvador Dali, and Keith Haring. For those of you that signed up for the Helicopter Adventure high above the Alps this is where it happens. You'll be taken to the helicopter and soar above the craggy mountains and snowcapped peaks of the Alps for an incredible experience! DAY 8: SALZBURG
Travel from Seefeld to the city of Salzburg, the setting of “The Sound of Music” and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The birthplace of Mozart, you will spend your day marveling at its many pristine churches, medieval fortresses, grand palaces, and quaint streets and squares. We'll be escorted by licensed and qualified Salzburg guides throughout the city and in the hidden places where secrets are revealed of one of the most famous cities in Austria. XO TIP: We suggest enjoy a lunch in Salzburg at the oldest restaurant in the world, the Stifskeller. DAY 9: MITTENWALD & THE LEUTASCH GORGE
Today after breakfast we head out to the town of Mittenwald, complete with Bavarian architecture, cobblestone streets, and plenty of shops filled with local treasures. Next we’ll visit the Leutasch Gorge where you’ll experience the beautiful crystal-blue waters cutting through the gorge as you zigzag your way over steel walkways that cross over the German-Austrian border several times.
